USER EXPERIENCE DESIGN PROJECT
It’s happening, we are going to Mars! It’s going to be great for our research, development, trade, innovation - the possibilities are really limitless now. But.. amidst all this excitement, living on Mars will require us to adapt to conditions that we can barely imagine. One area of concern being the several psychological implications of this uncertain environment of Mars, or the lengthy spaceflight of 2-3 years could pose on our mental health. In order to have the best experience possible on Mars, we need to ensure the wellbeing of ourselves. I was inspired to ease the stress associated with living on Mars, through promoting a more positive idea of this voyage through the process of meditation. I decided to tie in the concept of universalism, which is the process of how even after being in the confined space of the spacecraft, perceptions of Earth from astronauts were more positive, as well as a greater appreciation of Earth’s beauty.
Since this application will be projected on personal user interfaces, users can have a fully immersive experience. My advertisements aim to embed the idea of meditation unleashing a whole new positive experience and world for users. Thus, they are more tempted to buy into a lifestyle. Following is the video of the process of my user research, prototyping my app, my journey of interactions.
