PENCIL GRIP PROJECT
In this Design Technology project, I had to investigate an existing issue faced by a user, and create a solution that caters to their requirements. I redesigned pencil grips due to the constructive discontent faced with the product because of the short product lifespan, difficulty in usage especially towards people with special educational needs such as dysgraphia and dyslexia, and lack of variety in design. My target market was students with special needs who were learning how to write, to older users who want to improve their writing and drawing abilities. This extended on to students who felt a lot of pain from writing or painting for long periods of time as well.

PROJECT DOCUMENT
I documented the entire process from researching the problem, analysing current existing pencil grips, creating marketing and design specifications, and used an iterative process through feedback from each stage of my prototypes. Alongside, I learnt concept drawing, appearance drawings, concept modelling, prototyping material choices, as well as considering elements of an interdisciplinary approach to design by considering business aspects such as marketing and branding.
